Diesel Mechanic jobs in Murrieta, CA
Diesel Mechanic performs inspection, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of diesel engines. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Being a Diesel Mechanic utilizes computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes. Replaces and/or refurbishes parts. Additionally, Diesel Mechanic maintains maintenance logs according to requirements. Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures. May perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Diesel Mechanic works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Diesel Mechanic
Min 5 years diesel mechanic experience
BIT/DOT Inspection and Air Brake Certification, ASE or similar trade certification or designation.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic/air brake systems, electrical, and suspension systems.
Strong knowledge of clutch repairs/replacement, minor/major engine overhauls.
Experience with welding.
Strong character and work ethic.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Own set of tools.
Valid California CDL.
Ability to work independently and under deadlines.
EXPERIENCE WITH FUEL TANKERS A HUGE PLUS
Schedule: Tue-Sat 7am - 4pm
Pay: up to $35/hr
