Diesel Mechanic performs inspection, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of diesel engines. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Being a Diesel Mechanic utilizes computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes. Replaces and/or refurbishes parts. Additionally, Diesel Mechanic maintains maintenance logs according to requirements. Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures. May perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Diesel Mechanic works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager the diesel mechanic performs highly skilled preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on motor coaches to minimize downtime in a cost effective, safe, timely manner and ensure a positive customer experience. We are willing to train the right candidate with a minimum of 2 years of commercial automotive experience. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

- Familiar with Cummins and Detroit Engines

- High School Diploma or GED preferred (must be 18 years old or older)
- Diesel mechanic experience is preferred; however, we will consider qualified candidates with a minimum of 2 years of commercial automotive mechanic experience.
- Valid Driver License and dependable transportation
- Be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including outdoors
- Pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical
- Willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Work experience on motorcoaches is required
