Diesel Mechanic jobs in Spokane, WA
Diesel Mechanic performs inspection, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of diesel engines. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Being a Diesel Mechanic utilizes computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes. Replaces and/or refurbishes parts. Additionally, Diesel Mechanic maintains maintenance logs according to requirements. Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures. May perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Diesel Mechanic works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
You'll typically work a full-time Monday through Friday schedule between 8 AM and 5 PM, where your days are filled with the excitement of diagnosing and repairing vehicles. From conducting thorough vehicle inspections to utilizing your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot known issues, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers get safely back on the road. Your collaboration with the service advisor and meticulous documentation of findings contribute to the seamless functioning of our repair services. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR DIAGNOSTIC MECHANIC - AUTO TECHNICIAN
- Experience in the automotive repair industry
- Current ASE Master certification
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot car problems
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
Having experience with OEM diagnostic scan tools (primarily Ford, Chrysler, and GM) is a plus!
