Additionally, Dietitian - Home Care requires Registered Dietitian (RD). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Dietitian - Home Care occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. A Dietitian, or Registered Dietitian, creates nutrition plans to improve the health and physical conditions of residents. Their main duties include analyzing residents' health status, goals, and dietary restrictions, tracking residents' dietary intake and progress, and educating residents on how to maintain a balanced diet. The role also includes providing person-centered care, as their dietary plans often involve speaking with the resident to determine their food and dining preferences.


    Roles and Responsibilities for the Registered Dietician Include:

    • Coming up with a core meal plan for general residents, for special requests or for critical needs
    • Acting in the role of counselor and thus sustaining resident morale
    • Maintaining documentation from aides and management as a daily routine
    • Keeping track of what has or hasn't worked for a resident, which is crucial to providing proper meals later.
    • Ensuring the cleanliness of a workspace and proper use of utensils during food preparation

    Must have Educational and Professional Requirements Completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
