Dietitian, Sr. jobs in Charlotte, NC

We are seeking Dietitians to join our teams across the US, supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Dietitians use scientific research, behavioral science, and social science to promote health, prevent disease, and treat dietary and nutritional problems. The Dietician will ensure the most effective delivery of care while meeting and exceeding compliance, with the Joint Commission and VA Central Office performance measure standards.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 (three) years of experience as a Dietician

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree in the fields of dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science.
• Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
• (RDN).
• The educational program must have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
• Current BLS certification. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
• May require bending, stooping, and lifting to 15 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications:

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
• Must relocate to the project site for the duration of the contract.
• Pass a Child abuse and neglect check.
• Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance
