Dietitian Supervisor supervises staff that plans, prepares, and delivers meals to patients. Consults and coordinates with nutritionists to ensure all menus comply with general dietetic standards and fulfill prescribed patients nutritional and therapeutic requirements. Being a Dietitian Supervisor oversees all food service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Dietitian Supervisor typically reports to a manager. Requires Certified Dietary Manager(CDM). The Dietitian Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Summary
The Clinical Dietitian will plan, organize, and oversee the fulfillment of the nutritional needs of individuals entrusted to our care. The ideal individual will have a strong background in nutritional science and the ability to create and deliver nutritious and appetizing menu plans for our residents. This position is responsible for the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The Clinical Dietitian will also work with the dietary staff to ensure that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university is required
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
- Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
