Job Summary:At our Senior Resource Center is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition services to seniors in Eureka, CA. The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for assessing clients' nutritional needs, developing nutrition plans, and providing nutrition education and counseling to clients.Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop nutrition care plans for clients
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to clients, including individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate clients' care
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed
- Conduct outreach and education activities to promote healthy eating and prevent nutrition-related health problems
- Maintain accurate and complete records of clients' nutrition assessments, care plans, and progress notes
- Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality nutrition services
- Maintain knowledge of current research and trends in nutrition and dietetics
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards of practice
Qualifications:- Must be a Registered Dietitian with current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably with older adults
- Experience with electronic health records and nutrition assessment tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to nutrition and dietetics
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
