    The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide patient focused nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; assuring customer needs and satisfaction are met and/or exceeded; managing resources in a cost-effective manner; participating in performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related area granted by U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
    • Coursework/Training: Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
    • Washington Dietitian Certification within 6 months of hire. Or
    • Washington Nutritionist Certification within 6 months of hire.
    • National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Certified Specialist in related field (CLE, CDE, CNSD," CS) upon hire.
    • 3 years Clinical/related experience and/or master's degree in related field.
