Registered Dietitian

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide nutritional care which will result in the optimal health and nutritional status of the residents.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must meet all license, certification, training or credentials as required by the State.
• Must have knowledge of or be willing to learn the requirements of Federal and State Regulations related to the Dietary Department.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to manage menus within budget
• Must have the ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Dietary Department.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the nutritional care of residents and document in the medical record
• Using the company formulary recommends dietary interventions according to the status of the resident
• Evaluate changes to the facility’s menus for nutritional adequacy.
• Manage the menus within the facility budget
• Provides monthly reviews and documentation for residents with weight loss, receiving enteral nutrition, wound care, and others at high risk.
• Assists the Dietary manager in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for dietary and nursing personnel

Pay: $80000 - $104000 / year
