Dietitian Supervisor supervises staff that plans, prepares, and delivers meals to patients. Consults and coordinates with nutritionists to ensure all menus comply with general dietetic standards and fulfill prescribed patients nutritional and therapeutic requirements. Being a Dietitian Supervisor oversees all food service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Dietitian Supervisor typically reports to a manager. Requires Certified Dietary Manager(CDM). The Dietitian Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Dietitian provides nutrition assessment, counseling, and planning upon inter-disciplinary team (IDT) referral for participants identified as being at nutritional risk according to established screening protocol or as ordered by physician.
Monitor and document the participant's response to mode of nutritional therapy used.
REQUIRED upon hire : National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
REQUIRED within 6 months of hire : Washington Dietitian Certification OR Washington Nutritionist Certification
