Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Digital Collection Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, fun, and challenging retail environment who also enjoys extensive travel.


    Our solutions installers are home based, traveling to customer locations to install, train, support, maintain and troubleshoot point-of-sale (POS), customer facing kiosks, mobile applications, PC/Server equipment, network hardware, and other retail front of house technology solutions. Installers will work with a project manager and our in-unit managers to install, train users and support enterprise POS and other technology systems.


    Ideal candidate will be a high-energy person with prior retail and hands-on experience installing and supporting enterprise retail POS systems.


    Responsibilities:

    • Perform POS, kiosk, kitchen/customer displays, and technology installation on location for retail operations
    • Gather site requirements pertaining to installation preparedness
    • Deliver regular status updates to project stakeholders
    • Inventory, assemble, place and connect system hardware; load applications and perform testing to verify functionality; troubleshoot and remedy any issues
    • Work with 3rd party vendors and other team members to ensure any interfaces are functioning properly
    • Conduct front of house training sessions for operations staff, including cashiers and managers
    • Document all work performed and create a final diagram of the POS network environment
    • Provide go live support and obtain final sign off from the onsite team
    • Deliver superior, courteous, professional service all times


    Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience supporting/installing POS, kiosks and displays
    • Detail oriented; can take pictures and provide documentation describing the work performed
    • Ability to follow standard procedures and work with 3rd party vendors
    • Comfortable installing and supporting other computer equipment such as PCs, network switches/routers; A certification, and or Net preferred. Knowledge of standard MS Office products including MS Visio
    • QIR certification a plus
    • Experience creating dynamic network diagrams
    • Great communication skills, great work ethic; will go above and beyond to exceed client expectations
    • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-initiative
    • Able to Travel extensively (roughly 90%) and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
    • Able to pass a background check including: drug screening and criminal background
    • Must have reliable transportation, car insurance and a valid driver’s license at all times
    • Must be physically capable to lift up to 50 pounds
