Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Digital Collection Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinates, develops, and maintains web sites that provide valuable information and tools and serve internal and external customers
· Ensures a quality presentation of written and graphical web content, a positive web visitor experience and a competitive web presence in the marketplace.
· Coordinates the technical creation of innovative written, visual, and audio content for internet pages so that the web site is appealing, informative and satisfying to the visitor and is competitive in the marketplace
· Manages and publishes web content by interacting with marketing groups, legal, other divisions, and the enterprise to maintain current and relevant product and service information.
· Ensure content conveys a consistent tone and credible message to the online audience.
· Monitor quality and adherence to policies, authoring & brand standards, and guidelines on the company's web sites, escalate issues as appropriate and facilitate resolution of problems.
· Support of project/ticket requests from multiple units and divisions.
· Communicates with internal stakeholders to ensure the needs and goals of web projects are met.
· Ability to support global business partners, including ability attend meetings as scheduled.
· Creates, updates, and maintains sensitive and confidential company information, adhering to company policies and procedures.
REQUIRED:
· Experience with content management system tools, such as OpenText TeamSite, Adobe, WordPress, other
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
· Experience with Agile Kanban Methodology
· Experience creating and implementing training on digital tools and processes
· Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
