Responsibilities:
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking a Social Media Coordinator within University Housing. This position is responsible for producing and creating progressive video, graphic, and animated motion projects to highlight and feature University Housing in a prominent manner to the public via the department’s digital and social media channels, official websites, and billboard displays.
Duties:
· Partner with department staff to ensure that social media platforms and respective websites are in line with the department’s overall strategic communications, branding, and marketing objectives.
· Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content frequently, as determined by supervisor (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
· Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
· Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
· Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
· Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
· Plans and executes web, email, and social media advertising campaigns.
· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Proficiency with digital marketing, social media sites, and management platforms
· Demonstrated skill in social media content generation, skill in interpersonal communication, collaboration and prioritization of work assignments required.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or closely related field required
· 2 years of related experience required.
