    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Director of Digital Marketing will demonstrate a successful track record of delivering innovative digital strategies and solutions. This role will assess and recommend new technologies, partnerships and processes to accelerate our customer relationships, brand, business growth and enhanced customer journeys and in the end, drive toward growth goals for traffic, engagement, optimal end-user experience, measurable results, and lead creation.

    The ideal candidate should possess strong influence skills, communications savvy, poise and the ability to gain alignment and investment in unified digital vision and digital product leadership. This leader champions and drives the vision for the omni-channel digital experience, products and efforts, in collaboration with leadership and in keeping with brand standards and expectations.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    Digital strategy, planning and overall management:

    Must have an entrepreneurial mindset, planning and analytical capabilities and a proven ability to assess the competitive landscape, interpret user research findings, and integrate inputs from a team of professionals into a cohesive long-term vision, strategy and digital roadmap. Experience with periodic assessment, measurement, refinement, and optimization of digital strategy is essential.

    • Partners with Communications and Technology leadership on the strategic planning process, including strategy development, digital product strategy, insights brainstorming, trend and innovation and key digital opportunities, designed system solutions, prioritization of digital efforts and enhancements to meet customer needs and business requirements Perform ongoing analysis of industry trends and competitor initiatives through primary and secondary research methods
    • Responsible for overall strategy of project based and ongoing digital initiatives, including: management of website(s), social media, content management, digital asset management, marketing automation, lead generation/management, connection to CRM system and sales management
    • Works closely with purchasing, sales, marketing and communications, technology and other key departments in corporate marketing and the business units to facilitate an aligned digital experience, provide insights, recommendations and ideate solutions
    • Educate and inspire internal constituencies on digital opportunities and best practices

    Digital marketing operations and execution:

    The ability to lead, influence and motivate a team managing day-to-day digital experience. Candidate needs to be highly organized with a sense of urgency, and strong communication and management skills. This person will manage a cross-functional team, direct agency activities and work closely with internal stakeholders and management.

    • Manage and deploy a digital roadmap through close collaboration with IT, marketing and vendor teams
    • Work actively and closely with product divisions to develop and deploy digital tactics that support shifts in marketing or product strategy and align digital strategy / tactics with ongoing multi-channel marketing (print, tradeshow, etc…)
    • Create, refine, and execute digital strategy designed to drive performance against measurable business objectives by monitoring monthly results
    • Owns and manage the detailed customer digital experience, and working with the tech and marketing teams, supports key initiatives such as CRM, loyalty, advertising, search and content development to support sales enablement and lead nurturing strategies
    • Lead marketing automation efforts including campaign development, measurement and best practices
    • Ensure all digital programs have clearly defined objectives, KPIs, and metrics to evaluate success and continuous, measurable improvement in client campaigns

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • A BS or BA in business, marketing / communications, or related field is required. MBA or MS, a plus
    • 5 years of progressive digital/online strategy and execution experience (some digital agency experience preferred)
    • Experience creating high-impact B2B2C engagement strategies across multiple digital platforms
    • Experience creating and executing content and social media strategy execution and measurement
    • Experience with marketing automation campaign development, execution and measurement. Oracle and Eloqua experience preferred
    • Experience with web content management systems, PIM/DAM and marketing automation software
    • Experience with a web analytics platform such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Webtrends
    • Understanding of SEO & SEM best practices and an understanding of UX/UI principles
    • Entrepreneurial & strategic mindset with strong results orientation
    • Proven ability to lead a team with a broad set of customer needs
    • Demonstrated experience in working successfully in a lean organization, balancing multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously
    • Multi-channel digital strategy, personalization, and knowledge of current and emerging digital platforms (mobile, tablet, connected CE devices, social, marketing automation).
    • Strong written and verbal communication capability; communication and presentation skills; poised, confident and articulate
    • Responsible budget management and financial acumen
    • Experience with e-Commerce, app development and VR/AR preferred
    • Experience with digital advertising preferred
