About this opportunity: KNDU-TV is looking for a part-time Content Manager to join our weekend team! We're rebuilding our operation around a story-centric workflow. That means we prioritize story treatment across a variety of platforms, from our linear broadcasts to our streaming services, as well as social media and our digital properties. You are the quarterback of the newsroom – directing our team to always be moving the ball (product) forward. This position is tailor-made for individuals who love to be in the middle of the action and who are great at juggling multiple things. You will be responsible for managing news assignments, coordinating logistics, monitoring news wires and scanners, writing digital stories for our website, making posts to our social media accounts and coordinating assignments with the company's other Content Managers. Required Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization is preferred; Experience with computers programs, social media, and phone skills; Willingness to work overtime when necessary; Ability to coordinate and manage logistics for multiple employees and equipment; Bachelor's degree in Radio/Television, Film, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred.
Other Requirements: Passion and dedication to news; Great storyteller and writer; Knowledge of AP style writing a plus; Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members; Newsroom computer software experience preferred; Must possess a valid driver's license with no DUI convictions.
