    The client is a Florida-based fishing company with the largest online saltwater fishing club in America that has a burning desire to help their “Insider” members save time and money.     They specialize in serving their 50,000 “Insider” members through fishing education, e-commerce tackle sales, and a family-like community of anglers from all kinds of different skill levels.

    THE CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR:

    • A talented operations person to manage, lead, grow, and inspire their customer service, customer success, e-commerce, and shipping/fulfillment team.
    • Someone who loves removing roadblocks, who’s constantly looking for more efficient ways to do things, and who loves building systems and people.
    • Experience in the subscription or membership business is important – along with creativity, leadership, a strong work ethic, and a talent for simplifying systems and processes.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

    The client is seeking a creative, strategic thinking, process-oriented, and visionary Head of Operations to run their Insider membership experience, customer service, and tackle fulfillment.

    This role calls for a hands-on leader who can oversee all elements of operations. The ideal candidate will have had a successful track record in similar situations and must have experience in a subscription or membership-based company.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    As Head of Operations, your day-to-day responsibilities would look as follows:

    • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of customer service, customer success, and tackle fulfillment processes
    • Create a world-class operation whereby the client is recognized as the industry leader in creating WOW to their members
    • Create processes that minimize manual steps, eliminate inefficiencies, and increase documented processes
    • Leverage technology whereas it makes sense
    • Take ownership of their documented Operating System
    • Create process documentation for all processes in the division
    • Oversee fishing tackle inventory control and accuracy, including tracking, replenishment, forecasting, and optimization to prevent stockouts
    • Collaboration with marketing and sales team
    • Spearhead cost reductions (internal and external) to increase margins
    • Hire and manage the operations team
    • Supervise, train, and provide direction to staff ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their tasks effectively.
    • Optimize teammates’ performance by ensuring the right responsibilities fit
    • Define and track key performance indicators to measure the team’s performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Responsible for the Winter Haven, FL facility, ensuring theft prevention, security, and preventing damage

    REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

    • Required minimum 3 years in leadership roles with experience in managing operations of an online-based company selling memberships and e-commerce
    • Experience in supervising teams as well as direct reports
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills
    • Strengths in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and managing team members
    • Experience in customer service and customer success
    • Experience with cycle counting, forecasting and planning
    • Advanced Excel knowledge
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, while staying course to the overall strategic plan
    • Ability to solve problems – dealing with whatever challenges that occur
    • Hands-on leader, not afraid of joining in as required
    • Track record of meeting goals, creating and executing new strategies and tactics resulting in high growth
    • Ability to adapt due to changes resulting from growth and evolution of the company and the general business environment
    • Ability to ensure all team members remain compliant with OSHA, state, local and governmental regulations
