Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dining Room Supervisor to join our team. As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness and efficiency.
Duties:
- Supervise and train dining room staff, including waitstaff and hosts/hostesses
- Ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of food and beverages
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for dining room supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and delivery
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and special requests
- Assist with event planning and catering services as needed
- Utilize POS systems to process orders, payments, and track sales
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of catering operations, inventory control, and food production
- Proficiency in using POS systems (e.g., Aloha POS) for order processing and sales tracking
- Bartending or culinary experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Experience conducting interviews and training new staff members
