The Kitchen Supervisor directs all service personnel, including full-time, part-time, college, and high school student employees. Follows company, state, and federal guidelines and standards regarding safety and sanitation. Ensures the quality of all service related functions by training and assisting service personnel.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Work your scheduled shift, attending work in your proper uniform
Punch in and out on time, as well as punching out for breaks
Practice good hygiene and grooming. This includes taking care of your uniform
Ensure the serving lines are properly garnished
Train new service employees according to prescribed training schedule & proper portion control
Utilize proper portion control techniques as explained by cooks and management
Provide service to the customers in a positive, friendly, helpful manner
Communicates to all production staff and front of the house staff any problems
Assist the Service Manager with all aspects of service
Assist in setting up all serving lines in a timely and organized manner
Make signage for special events
Assist in decorating the front of the house
Assist the Service Manager in supervising employees
Assist the Service Manager with scheduling
Chairing and organizing a safety committee meeting. Post minutes and submit copies to managers when complete
Assist with special events and catering events as assigned
Assist with conflict resolution between employees
Read all items routinely posted for your benefit, as well as safety, sanitation guidelines and laws
All other duties as assigned by management
Physical Demands/Work Environment
The Kitchen Supervisor position involves physical work in a commercial kitchen environment. Responsibilities include moving inventory, product, carts, tables, etc. as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment. Environment may include hot, humid, or cold temperatures. May require extended working hours at times. Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs.

Two year minimum experience in front of house supervision
High school diploma, secondary education helpful
