Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of dining room staff, including servers, and dishwashers
• Train new employees on service standards and customer service skills
• Ensure that all guests are greeted promptly and seated in a timely manner
• Monitor dining room operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
• Assist in food preparation and plating when necessary
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Manage inventory of dining room supplies, such as utensils, linens, and condiments
• Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize productivity

Requirements

• Previous experience in a leadership role within the food industry or hospitality sector
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks accordingly
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule

• Weekend shifts for meals in the spring and fall
• Weekday shifts beginning mid-June through end of August
• Shifts typically 6-8 hours in length

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
