Direct Mail Specialist manages all direct mail programs, processes, and materials to insure effective and on-time results. Oversees warehouse inventory and reorders items as needed. Being a Direct Mail Specialist works with Marketing campaign team to select and manage vendors. Tracks and evaluates direct mail program effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements. Additionally, Direct Mail Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Direct Mail Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We are seeking applicants for full time or part time work to provide structure and supervision, recreational activities, skill-based activities, life skills education, and crisis response to boys between the ages of 7-14. Flexible hours are available.
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day care and Supervision for children, such as: meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, parental/nurturing needs, house rules.
- Work as a team member with other staff to implement program plans.
- Attend paid trainings.
- Conform to all state and agency regulations and policies.
Desired skills and Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Posses a valid California driver's license or California ID.
- Able to pass a fingerprint clearance and child abuse index clearance.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical.
- Direct care staff shall meet ONE of the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree.
2. A valid Child Development Teaching Permit.
3. Completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth.
4. A valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor or Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth.
5. A valid vocational training certificate, credential, or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade journey person who instructs children in vocational skills and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, or other relevant experience as determined by the department. 6. Previously been employed as a full time staff or served as a volunteer at a group home, short-term residential therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program for at least one year.
