Social Vocational Services (SVS) has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout California since 1977.

SVS is seeking caring, reliable, dedicated and outgoing individual to provide one-on-one individualized support as a Personal Support Specialist at our Watsonville program.

$750 hiring bonus after 60th day of full attendance (must work full shift to be counted towards the 60 days).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide one-to-one training or adaptive services to a specific client enrolled in the Day Program (including, but not limited to: paid work, social skills building, art, recreation, volunteering)
• Develop and monitor individual client plans within the Program.
• Assist with personal hygiene needs as needed.
• Assess, evaluate, implement and chart client's progress on goals and objectives

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Must obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
• Must pass post-job offer job-related physical exam including TB test
• First Aid/CPR certification (SVS will provide)
• Effective written and verbal communication

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
