Job Purpose:
This position exists to perform responsible duties for the planning, administration, and management of sales (leads) of fences and related products or services.
Essential Functions of this Job:
- Contact potential and existing customers via telephone and email to qualify leads and to sell products and services. Collect and research information to identify and resolve problematic situations. Present solutions to fence buyers, including price, credit terms, accurate sales contracts, estimated time of delivery based on agency’s production and delivery schedule. Collect methods of payment and process sale. Represent and promote organization with products and services at in-home product presentations, showrooms, and home shows as required. Complete records of telephone interaction, orders and accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the practice, methods and tools in fence installation, warehouse work, packaging, delivery, carpentry or related trade. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Excellent Communication Skills, Persuasive Skills, Problem Solving Skills. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job. Appropriate State of Florida Driver's License. Bilingual/bi-literate preferred.
Education, Experience and/or Certification/License Requirements:
Graduation from high school or completion of GED. Proficient in relevant computer applications, call center, good typing skills, knowledge of sales principles and methods, required language skills. Fence inventory experience.
Work Context:
Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires the use of alternative communication systems such as electronic mail, telephone and computers.
Physical Environment:
Requires standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams. Requires standing and sitting. Requires working both indoors and outdoors. Requires exposure to outdoor elements, including weather changes, foliage, and insects. Requires the handling and use of cleaning solvents and solutions. Requires the proper use of personal protective devices and equipment as assigned.
