    Job Description

    Brains and Motion is seeking experienced Summer Camp Directors for each of our summer camp locations.

    In this role, you will:

    • Assume responsibility for the overall success of their camp location.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp.
    • Ensure a fun, safe atmosphere that creates memorable experiences for all campers.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experienced and trustworthy leader, with the ability to mentor, advise, and assist a team of 2-6 instructors and ensure a positive and enriching atmosphere for all campers.
    • Ability to foster the personal growth of all campers and ensure a fun, safe and welcome environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, can clearly communicate with both campers and their parents, and have experience handling complaints and issues. You are able to recognize and quickly resolve any conflicts that may arise between campers, instructors and/or parents.
    • Organized and efficient.
    • Excellent administrative skills including email, google docs and spreadsheets, and fielding phone calls.
    • 3-5 years of experience as a director, manager, coordinator or supervisor in a camp like environment
    • Ability to multitask, think on the fly, and make decisions quickly.
    • Knowledgeable and passionate about coaching and teaching kids
    • Ability to work with kids in Grades TK-8
    • Reliable transportation
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certification.
    • Background check required.
    • Undergo Brains and Motion summer camp training program.
    • Must be available Monday- Friday between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
    • Available full-time for the entire duration of summer camp, starting as early as June and running through August 2024.
    • Ability to lift and carry ~20-50 lbs. on an occasional basis with or without accommodations.
