Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Discovery Education is looking for an Art Director to join our product team. This is a design role in support of all current CEP programs. Responsible for working collaboratively with the Senior Creative Director to oversee the design and delivery of a wide array of digital and print documents including wireframes and front-end designs for websites, digital marketing suites, curriculum resources, PowerPoint presentations, illustrations, animations, and more.

    About the Role
    • Take a leadership role in sometimes supporting and sometime determining the artistic direction of projects.
    • Articulating a vision when necessary or encouraging and nurturing the vision of team members
    • Reviewing and approving design comps.
    • Developing and reviewing budgets and timelines; and determining how to best represent the best interests of DE and CEP’s partners.
    • Work with account team, client, and creative director to produce impactful, innovative design that expresses the program brand and project objectives.
    • Oversee the design of assets for a wide range of marketing deliverables including brand development with style guides, GIFs, photography, HTM emails (header/footer), digital ads, social media graphics, and print collateral (flyers, event signage etc.).
    • Work collaboratively with multiple team members to on compelling presentations and templates for downloadable educational material.
    • Curate photography.
    • Convey feedback from internal team members and clients to ensure work is in-line with overall briefs and client expectations and goals.
    • Provide visual QA feedback to account and technology teams to ensure creative quality and consistency.
    Requirements
    • 10 - 15 years direct experience managing a design team for marketing campaigns (traditional, digital, and/or social), print and presentation material (PDFs and PPTs), and interactive experiences (sites and/or web apps).
    • Outstanding portfolio showcasing innovative digital concepts and creative design solutions, including the types of work listed above.
    • In-depth knowledge of the following applications: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Grace and focus under tight deadline pressure.
    • Laser-sharp attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Solid foundation in typography, layout, and fundamental graphic design principles.
    • Sketching/Illustration skills a big plus.
    • Maintain an understanding of industry trends, current events, anything that may impact the business by reading professional publications, researching all available prospect/product resources.
    • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
    • Ability to communicate across levels of an organization, including with executives and other senior-level officers.
    • Proven leadership skills and a talent for providing effective feedback and direction.
    • Understand new technologies and industry trends and be able to speak to how they impact Discovery Education.
    • Establish strong working relationships with DE colleagues across the business.
    • Use DE resources wisely to ensure the maximum impact and look for opportunities to reduce costs and ensure a successful customer experience.
    • Maintain a deep and current knowledge of all products and value-added offerings at Discovery Education.
    • Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience required.
    • Experience in business systems, Microsoft Office tools, organization, and time management.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with office technology and proficiencies using digital communication and organizational tools such as Slack and ASANA.
    • Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
    • Attention to detail and the ability to manage a diverse workload.
