Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational strategies and programs to enhance learning outcomes
- Schedule, supervise and support teaching staff in delivering high-quality instruction
- Collaborate with educators to design curriculum that meets academic standards and student needs
- Manage budgeting and fundraising efforts to support educational initiatives
- Perform all required paperwork for both education and the Child Nutrition Program
- Provide senior leadership in guiding the overall vision and mission of the early education department
- Oversee and evaluate educational activities to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulations
Experience:
- Proven experience in classroom teaching or educational administration. We are willing to train the right person.
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development and implementation
- Strong budgeting skills for early educational programs
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of educators
- Proficient in managing educational initiatives and projects effectively
- A passion for educating and empowering individuals through innovative programs
Qualifications:
-National CDA, FCCPC, or Formal Degree verified on the DCF transcript
-Director's Certification with a VPK endorsement
-Completed the following DCF courses:
Implementing the Florida Standards in Preschool Classrooms Ages 3 to Kindergarten
Emergency Literacy for VPK Instructors
Mathematical Thinking for Early Learners
Language and Vocabulary in the VPK Classroom
VPK Director Credential Course
