Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Books, Brushes & Bands for Education (BBB4E) is a Hammond-based non-for-profit organization that has been serving the community since September 12, 2000. The Midwest Youth Choir Level 1 is an afterschool youth music program for students ages 5-7.
We are seeking an instructor who exhibits the energy to provide children in an underserved area with exposure to an arts education. The program receives students from all across northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area.
Current students vary in age. Due to the program being grant-dependent, lesson plans, skills assessments and goals must be performed at the start of each semester.
Preferred availability:
Monday evening 5:30-7:00 during the school year and summer.
Summer classes begin June 3 at the Hammond Public Library in Hammond, IN.
Hourly Rate: Starting hourly rate $25-35.
Time needs to be recorded by the teacher and submitted in a timely manner. Teachers are paid biweekly. Additional hours (for recruiting, preparation, supplemental work) needs to be preapproved before completing hours.
