Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. About The Position:
Oak Hill is seeking a Director of Special Education to provide leadership and support to certified, licensed, and non-certified staff in accordance with Oak Hill mission, vision and goals. The incumbent will ensure student development is maintained and direct and shape the curricula and teaching processes in Oak Hill School. The incumbent will supervise staff and provide students a safe and healthy environment that is conducive to learning.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree
Special education endorsements: 165, 265, or 065
7 years of experience in education administration
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and directly monitor certified and licensed staff.
Ensure staff adhere to State board of Education SEED model and other relevant regulatory agencies, e.g. federal, state, local and school systems as applicable.
Provide thorough staff observations and evaluations to maintain staff consistency in achieving day to day student educational requirements per Oak Hill School Educational/Clinical model philosophies.
Plan and oversee the implementation of any changes to current educational programming and introduces new programs.
Co-Chair PPTs, attend and participate in committees, PDAC, chairs Transdisciplinary Team meetings/all other meetings as necessary and supervises documentation and follow-up as needed.
Ensure Oak Hill School accreditation requirements are maintained, organizational goals and instructional programming is implemented with fidelity through effectively monitoring/supporting/developing certified, licensed, or direct care staff.
Review all classrooms to ensure staff are working towards each student’s established goals and objectives based on student’s IEP; educational curriculum, medical, behavioral, and recreational activities are aligned with Oak Hill School educational philosophies and clinical model.
Input SDE database (restraint &seclusion) information, IEP direct manager and Title IX coordinator.
Manage adequate staffing levels, conduct and/or oversee staff investigations for employee alleged misconduct and/or violation of policies, procedures, state, or Federal requirements as appropriate.
Consistently monitor the quality of student instruction through managing staff adherence to Oak Hill School instructional philosophy, policies, and procedures, e.g. teaching, training, coaching, counseling, discipline, as necessary.
Work with all stakeholders as appropriate to support student individualized programming e.g. LEA/Parents/Agency.
Contributes to the school effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range programming objectives and/or concerns as it applies to State board of Education and other relevant regulatory agencies, e.g. federal, state, local and school systems as applicable.
