Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     We are currently seeking a Regional Director of Career Services to join our team. In this position you will function as a member of IEC’s Career Services vertical, providing leadership for meeting the IEC Career Services goals and objectives. These are to include, but not limited to achieving the accreditation placement standards for each program, the IEC Extern to Hire goals, overall minimum productivity level at each of the region’s campuses as well as contributing to company-wide career services special projects and initiatives. The Regional Director of Career Services is responsible for recruitment, training and development of assigned Directors of Career Services, and may be asked to mentor other Directors and managers in the Region and throughout IEC. This position will support campus locations in Central and Northern CA and Tacoma, WA and will be based in one of the Pacific Region's campuses.

    Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Contributes to the design and development of the company strategy for Career Services.
    • Ensures relentless execution of strategic plans in the region’s Career Services departments.
    • Monitors and improves relevant metrics at every campus of the assigned region.
    • Works as a team member to ensure Career Services’ compliance with state, federal laws, and with all accrediting agencies at every campus in the region.
    • Contributes to and implements company-wide strategies and plans to enhance graduates job placement rates at every campus in the region.
    • Contributes to design of professional development programs and training for Career Services managers and staff to aid in their effectiveness in externs and graduates career development, job search, job placement and externship/employment retention as well as in employer business development.
    • Partners with Regional Operations, Compliance, Education, and Admissions leadership to help students and Career Services to reach their goals
    • Works closely with Regional Operations leadership and with the VP of Career Services on Career Services staffing.
    • Manages Regional Career Services staff and resources allocation to ensure effective Career Services operations and meeting the critical targets and goals throughout the region.
    • Manages and motivates Regional Career Services team to ensure effective and efficient Career Services performance, which includes career advancement opportunities, training, and developing of Career Services staff in the region.
    • Bachelors Degree Preferred
    • Minimum 3 year of career services and related management experience preferably in a multi-unit setting.
    • Excellent leadership skills.
    • Excellent relationship building abilities within and outside the organization.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
    • Effective problem resolution skills.
    • Ability to work effectively building and maintaining a team.
    • Good general business knowledge and ability to effectively supervise and lead a team of
      professionals.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook utilization to manage team priorities
    • Successful track record of career services activities and management in educational or staffing/recruiting environment.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance and be able to drive in the United States.
