Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. A.T. Still University's Central Coast Physician Assistant Program (ATSU-CCPA) is seeking a full-time exempt Director of Didactic Education at the Associate or full Professor level on the Santa Maria, California campus.
A.T. Still University (ATSU) is a culturally rich environment leading the way in whole-person health education with cutting-edge technology and instruction. From its inception in 1892, ATSU has had a long tradition of inclusion. The ATSU College for Healthy Communities is the newest College within ATSU located in the beautiful Central Coast region of California. The Central Coast Physician Assistant (CCPA) Program is the founding academic program within the College with the mission of educating culturally humble, diverse physician assistants (PAs) to serve the primary care needs of medically underserved communities. The Associate/Full Professor of Physician Assistant Studies and Director of Didactic Education will report directly to the CCPA Program Director and will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of all aspects of the didactic phase of the PA Program and teach courses, engage in service, and conduct scholarship.
