Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall execution, leadership, and stewardship of the international patient care operations in accordance with the international vision for Shriners Hospitals for Children [should this now read Shriners Children’s?]. This position is best suited for an experienced dynamic and engaging executive who is self-directed, experienced in both clinical operations and cultivating international relationships, by collaborating with clinical providers, Shriners fraternity and in-country partners to further the local care of current and future children in need of our expert specialty pediatric services. Responsible for directing international operations and participating in the assessment teaming group. Partners with Executive Director, International Strategy in implementation of identified care sites. Oversees international clinical operations. Reports to Vice President, Hospital Operations. Periodically provides reports to Joint Boards Hospital Operations Committee.
