As the Early Head Start (EHS) Education & Disability Manager, you'll ensure the day-to-day compliance of the Head Start Program Performance Standards, NAEYC, and Indiana Child Care Licensing for EHS programming. Your role empowers EHS Teachers to deliver high-quality services, overseeing curriculum implementation, professional development, mental health services, and assessment monitoring. Utilizing EHS program software, you'll track mandatory information to demonstrate compliance during monitoring reviews.
Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of educational, staff, and mental health requirements, utilizing program data to enhance service quality for EHS families, and ensuring compliance with academic standards and licensing regulations in each EHS Classroom. Directly supervising EHS teaching staff, you'll collaborate with First Steps of Indiana and the Bowen Center to facilitate referrals and services for children with suspected disabilities or mental health challenges.
Working closely with the administrative team, you'll ensure comprehensive services for children in EHS and develop individualized Child Action Plans for referred children. Additionally, you'll liaise with EHS teachers, parents, and training providers to support the implementation of educational programs and ensure compliance in the absence of the ELC Administrator-EHS Director. Furthermore, you'll commit to ongoing professional development, maintaining 20 hours of annual training in Early Childhood Development.
