Salary will be $25.00 per hour

Part-time position working 20-25 hours per week

Easterseals Florida is looking to fill our Disability Services Case Manager (for children and young adults) position in Apopka. The Case Manager works with families with children with disabilities in need of a wide variety of assistance. The position is responsible for providing information about services for children with disabilities to their caregivers, making referrals to community resources, and conducting intake assessments. The Case Manager is also responsible for recruiting clients. This position works extensively with community partners to identify clients and to ensure access to needed disability services. Knowledge of Apopka and community partnerships is essential to being successful in this job.

A Snapshot of What You Will Be Doing:

• Coordinate and collaborate with Orange County's Zellwood Neighborhood Center for Families, as well as local community programs, child care centers and schools, to obtain referrals for children and their families in need of guidance and support to obtain evaluations and/or disability services
• Successfully integrate and participate in community events and committee membership within Apopka and with community partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or related field and four years of experience
• Experience/knowledge of the Apopka and Orange County social service network
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal on-site supervision
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a bonus
• Must be able to meet the Easterseals Florida approved driver qualifications
