Position Summary:
The ID Program Specialist is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of persons with intellectual disabilities by assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate plans. for their care and development. (i.e. Individual Plans (IP), Restrictive Procedure Plans, Social Emotional Environmental Plans, Fade Plans and Desensitization Plans.)
The Program Specialist creates an environment that empowers individuals through the development of skills and coordination of resources and supportive services. They ensure that all special needs adult individuals have regularly scheduled medical, dental, psychiatric, and psychological services in accordance with regulations and doctor recommendations.
This position is a combination of both hands on work with individuals and in the office performing administrative duties. It is not a supervisory position.
Hours - Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. No evenings, No weekends, No holidays! 40 hours per week stability.
