Disability Services Manager oversees an organization's disability related programs. Ensures compliance with all government regulations, including ADA and FMLA, and ensures that program objectives are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Being a Disability Services Manager seeks to minimize financial costs by facilitating return to work for disabled employees. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Disability Services Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disability Services Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Responsibilities:
- Administer Accounts Payable; organizing, dating, preparing and allocating invoices
- Collect, review and allocate weekly timesheets
- Working with an outside Payroll Service, assist in processing and posting Payroll
- Collect, review, allocate, process and post monthly Credit Card expenses
- Process travel reimbursements for staff and board members
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Create or update Chart of Accounts, Vendors, Grants and Staff information
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Retrieve, prepare and present financial information when requested
- Assist with the year-end independent audit
Qualifications:
- one to two years clerical accounting experience; background in office management and administrative assistant preferred.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping is a plus
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
