Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and incident response protocols. Incident Response: Lead disaster recovery efforts in the event of a disruption, coordinating the response and recovery activities. Training and Awareness: Develop and provide training to employees on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to enhance preparedness. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving threats to continually improve disaster recovery capabilities.
