    Position Overview: 

    The Program Administrator for the Credit Recovery and GED Lab in Englewood High School will play a pivotal role in the establishment and operation of a specialized educational environment designed to facilitate credit recovery and GED attainment for students from Englewood High School and Colorado’s Finest High School of Choice. This role demands strong administrative and teaching skills, as well as a deep commitment to student success, innovative programming, and collaboration with stakeholders to remove barriers hindering academic progress. This grant-funded position is located at Englewood High School and reports to the Director of Learning & Innovation. 


    Key Responsibilities: 


    Program Administration: 

    • In collaboration with ZD and Englewood staff, design, implement, and oversee the Credit Recovery and GED Lab program in alignment with ZD's mission and objectives. 
    • Manage enrollment of students in credit recovery and GED coursework in partnership with school-based and ZD teams 
    • Function as liaison between ZD and Englewood teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure holistic student support and program effectiveness. 
    • Facilitate collaborative planning sessions with program staff and school-based teams to ensure alignment of individualized student plans and program goals. 
    • Participate in grant-related meetings and conferences, presenting progress updates and outcomes to key stakeholders as needed. 
    • Supervise ZD teacher(s) at site 

    Curriculum & Instruction:  

    • Develop individualized learning plans for students, incorporating unique interventions tailored to address academic, behavioral, and attendance-related challenges. 
    • Implement teaching and learning strategies that empower students to reclaim their educational journeys. 
    • Serve as teacher of record for credit recovery courses 
    • Provide tutoring and small group instruction based on students’ needs, nurturing a culture of collaboration and mutual support within the classroom community. 
    • Foster a sense of community and belonging within the classroom, emphasizing the importance of accountability, empathy, and shared responsibility that promote collective well-being. 

    Student Support and Advocacy: 

    • Provide direct support to youth, offering guidance, mentorship, and resources to promote academic achievement and personal growth. 
    • Advocate for students' needs within the educational system, ensuring access to necessary resources and accommodations and advocating for changes that foster equity and inclusion. 
    • Conduct outreach to students and their families to support their engagement and attendance, building trust and rapport through practices that prioritize authentic relationships. 
    • Foster partnerships with local educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness, leveraging networks to create sustainable support systems for students and the community. 

    Data Collection and Analysis: 

    • Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, utilizing insights to inform programmatic adjustments and interventions. 
    • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and other relevant metrics to track program outcomes and measure the impact of educational initiatives. 
    • Collaborate with project teams to collect data and information related to grant objectives, outcomes, and deliverables. 
    • Work closely with project teams to gather qualitative and quantitative data that demonstrates the impact and success of funded initiatives. 

    Professional Development: 

    • Collaborate with ZD staff to develop professional development plans, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. 
    • Stay abreast of evidence-based practices, research, and trends in credit recovery, GED preparation, and at-risk youth education to inform program enhancements. 
    • Other duties as assigned 

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field 
    • Colorado Teaching License (7-12) in English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and/or Special Education  
    • Ability to support students with high school level coursework across content areas 
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and foster positive relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. 
    • Strong conflict resolution skills to navigate potential disagreements or differing viewpoints among stakeholders, fostering consensus and maintaining positive relationships. 
    • Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity, with an understanding of various cultural nuances, communication styles, and preferences to ensure effective collaboration across diverse groups. 
    • Ability to adapt communication and collaboration approaches to accommodate diverse stakeholders, including different organizational cultures, professional backgrounds, and levels of expertise. 
    • Excellent organizational skills. 
    • Ability to develop and implement innovative educational interventions tailored to individual student needs. 
    • Expertise with Google Suite and Microsoft applications 
    • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusivity, and social justice. 

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Spanish speaking, reading, and writing proficiency 
    • Colorado Teaching License (7-12) with two or more core content area endorsements  
    • Experience working with at-risk youth in an educational or community-based setting. 
    • Strong understanding of credit recovery programs, GED preparation, and wrap-around support services. 
    • Familiarity with the Englewood community and local resources 
    • Experience with Edgenuity 
    • Experience with Infinite Campus 
    • Experience working with Individual Education Plans (IEP) and 504s  
    • Experience working with ELD student populations  

    APPLICATION PROCESS –  

    WORK SCHEDULE – This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, that will follow the partner school’s daily schedule. Zero Dropouts employees work year-round and may follow their partner schools’ academic calendars for scheduled breaks. 

    COMPENSATION – This is an exempt position with a salary based upon qualifications, knowledge, and relevant experience with a range is $65,000-77,000/year  

    BENEFITS – Company 401K plan with Employer Contribution Match, Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage, Paid Time Off (Sick Time, Holidays, Flexible Vacation), Not PERA eligible.
