Disaster Recovery Administrator implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Manages, organizes, and leads a team across a broad set of disciplines (including but not limited to: network security, the  security and endpoint security). Directs the deployment of technical security services and solutions. Plans, organizes, designs, and implements planning and designing technical security solutions to minimize risk exposure to the health the health system. Manages the development and oversight of the disaster recovery program including development of strategy, roadmaps, policies and standards.

    Job Responsibility

     

    • Provides leadership to Information Security team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
    • Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Evaluates, plans, and delivers new technical security solutions which reduce risk for the organization; periodically evaluates existing security technologies to ensure optimal effectiveness.
    • Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
    • Recommends, implements, and adheres to approved operating goals, objectives and budget; reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.
    • Manages, estimates the level of effort, prioritizes tasks and reports status for security technology implementations and the health system upgrades; engages with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are understood and achieved.
    • Manages the development and oversight disaster recovery program, including development of disaster recover strategies, guidelines, standard, deployment plans and recovery exercises.
    • Collaborates and coordinates with business units, external business partners and key IT staff to plan, direct, control and maintain effective disaster recovery plans.
    • Provides technical guidance and oversight of all security technology related issues enterprise wide; proactively identifies and resolves issues to meet strategic, and technical goals.
    • Manages and implements staffing requirements; selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports.

    Job Qualification

     

    • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
    • 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.

     

    Preferences:

    • Security , CEH, and Zerto Certifications is a plus
    • Familiarity with information security & disaster recovery tools
    • High attention to details
