Disaster Recovery Administrator implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree.   • Family Service Communities is looking for an energetic, outgoing Administrator to run the Enriched Housing Program at The Northfield in Fairport. 

    JOB SUMMARY: The Administrator is responsible for daily operations within parameters of established policies and procedures and in keeping with the philosophy and mission of the Family Service Communities. The Administrator will lead the operations of their set facility including supervision of employees, managing an efficient facility, ensuring census management, creating, and maintaining a superior level of resident satisfaction.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    Leadership responsibilities: 

    • Be visible in guiding the community in planning and strategizing about programs and services that improve quality of life for residents and members.
    • Provide input to problem identification and analysis to FSC centralized functions as part of collaborative decision making in the organization.
    • Network with other organizations for activities provided and for access to services.
    • Connect with families, residents and members to provide targeted programs and services (health, social, case management) that are needed.
    • Focus on resident and member customer satisfaction while building strong teams engaged in creation of this level of service. 
    • Communicate & clarify boundaries and expectations for diverse stakeholder groups (residents, members, families, staff, volunteers, colleagues/departments) and for the community, as a whole.
    • Collaborate across boundaries for best outcomes for the site and for the organization (with Marketing, Outreach, HR, Nursing, Clinical Services, Food Services, Support Services, Facilities, Pastoral Care, Volunteer Services, and outside agencies).
    • Provide ongoing evaluation of workforce engagement to ensure a proactive approach to development and retention.
    • Attend to professional growth of self and others. 

    Management responsibilities:

    • Set goals, plan and prioritize so that identified issues and concerns become catalysts for continuous improvements in operations and in relationship building with residents, members and staffs.
    • Manage collaboratively with Marketing/Outreach to maintain occupancy to budget.
    • Prepare plans that can flex to the diverse and changing needs of residents, members and staff.
    • Create systems to ensure program compliance to municipal, county and/or state regulations.
    • Manage census and growth of program.
    • Be responsible for all aspects of revenue and expenses to budget.
    • Develop and document best practices to share with other EDs and the organization.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for smooth operations.
    • Conduct regular meetings/communications with staff, resident councils, residents, members and families. Listen and communicate in a timely manner.
    • Build multidisciplinary teams for resolving conflicts and encouraging engagement.
    • Hire, onboard, train, coach, discipline, recognize and provide feedback to staff.
    • Other projects/duties as assigned.

    Administrative duties:

    • Maintain facilities standards assuring safety and comfort.
    • Efficiently utilize resources
    • Schedule for 24/7 coverage and transportation needs.
    • Administer surveys
    • Report occupancy, membership, outreach, budgeting impacts, capital improvements, expense management and revenue collection activities and results. 
    • Stay current on regulations and impacts of changes on compliance requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires proven leadership competencies, strong commitment to teamwork and associated skills and abilities in communication, collaboration, creative problem solving and networking. Knowledge of the community, competition, local market and referral resources would be critical to success. The candidate is expected to be highly visible in both the FSC internal community and external market place so must be able to demonstrate the ability to interact courteously and effectively with staff, residents, members, families,  visitors, vendors and the general public. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, along with excellent organizational skills would be expected. Must have a valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record.  Must be a role model of FSC values. 

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: A Master’s degree in health care management with 3-5 years related work experience or a Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5-10 years of experience in a health care or housing environment.
