Disaster Recovery Administrator implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Role Description:

    The Recovery Advocate, reporting to the Recovery Coordinator, is responsible for providing social support services to individuals through a process of coaching, mentoring, encouragement, and modeling hope to those working toward recovery and wellness. Recovery workers have a unique quality to enrich both substance use and mental health treatment through their own lived experiences, shared understanding, and continued recovery and resiliency processes. Under the direction and supervision of the Recovery Coordinator along with the support and guidance of Med Tech Supervisors and Program Managers the Recovery Support Worker will engage with residents in daily activities, providing social support and recovery encouragement for individuals and families receiving treatment. Recovery Advocates understand that the behaviors of patients are often symptoms of the disease of addiction and not a reflection of the whole individual. Recovery Advocates work to empathize, support, and treat the whole individuals with respect and hope for transformational recovery stories. 


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The Recovery Advocates will provide social support services through a process of coaching, mentoring, encouraging, and modeling hope to Client Residents entering and throughout their stay at SFRC.
    • Teach by example: Recovery Advocates will be engaged in their own personal recovery support services in efforts to maintain healthy personal and professional development.
    • The Recovery Advocates will be actively engaged with Client Residents in day-to-day activities and work to promote activities and interactions designed to encourage the achievement of treatment goals.
    • The Recovery Advocates will work with Med Tech Supervisors and Clinical Program Managers on day-to-day professional skill development and guidance to better assist Client residents who are in SFRC detox and residential programs.
    • Recovery Advocates will engage in Bi-weekly/Monthly Supervision with the Recovery Coordinator, with a primary focus on Professional skill development, overcoming workplace challenges, and self-care.
    • Recovery Advocates works to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate social support services, always maintaining consistent diplomacy and professional discretion when providing direct care of residents in a manner conducive to Client Resident's safety and comfort.
    • Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, empathetic, and professional attitude towards clients. 
    • Recovery Advocates will assist the interdisciplinary team with identifying the Client’s needs and assist with engaging the Clients with appropriate Clinical and/or Support staff.
    • Always maintains professionalism and proper boundaries with clients and must never have personal relationships with any clients.
    • Assist with orientating new clients admitted to the facilities, including greeting new Client Residents, facility tours, Rules of Residency, and Health and Safety requirements. Recovery Worker must be proficient in their understanding of facility rules.
    • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal law and perform duties in accordance with the SFRC Code of Ethics and Policies and Procedures.
    • Understand and maintain HIPAA and 42CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards relative to SFRC.
    • Be willing to work in an environment supporting mothers, infants, and young children.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    RAs WILL NOT:

    • Assist with any aspect of medications
    • Conduct no-touch searches
    • Conduct groups without written authorization from the Recovery Coordinator, Med Tech Supervisor, and Facility Manager.

    8. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
    9. Ability to set boundaries and use fair, consistent expectations. 
    10. Ability to exercise tact, patience, and discretion when dealing with residents, families, staff, and the public.
    11. Ability to relate with understanding and kindness to residents and their families.
    12. Ability to keep observations, conversations, and information confidential.
    13. Maintain 18 months of demonstrable recovery and be able to provide written certification from a therapist, counselor or sponsor
    14. Be able to manage personal wellness.
    15. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
    16. Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver’s License. Must provide and maintain a clean driving record, as well as auto insurance.
    17. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred (English/Spanish).

    Education and Experience:

    1. High School Diploma or GED.
    2. New Mexico Certified Peer Support Worker.
    3. Maintain CPR and First Aid certification card on file.
    4. Must be computer literate to effectively maintain compliance with licensing and certification standards.
