Disaster Recovery Administrator implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • Job Description: Recovery Technician - Safe House

    Location:

    Springfield, OH, 45505

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Primarily responsible for the care of clients in a residential environment
    • Monitor the client’s behavior and convey client’s behavior to the treatment team
    • Responsible for the safety of the clients and security of Safe House facility
    • Assist the clients to learn basic sober living skills while in treatment

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Review Log Book (as appropriate) upon arrival of each shift and discuss client activity with the ongoing shift when possible.
    • Determine any special needs of clients or situation and follow through as necessary
    • Monitor clients’ participation in program. Encourage clients’ adherence to program participation
    • Observe all program rules and regulations and encourage clients of the same
    • Comply with daily program schedule set by Program Coordinator or designee. Perform shift duties according to Program guidelines
    • Document client behaviors, attitudes, and participation in program activities in client charts. Specify observation of client behavior interaction between clients and any significant treatment issues
    • Make verbal and written reports to supervisor and staff, i.e. log shift activities
    • Document client activities in Service Log/Progress notes with appropriate required information, i.e., time spent, type of group/activities and topic of lectures provided
    • Provide transportation for clients in agency vehicles as needed
    • Provide medication to clients for self-administration in a timely manner when a Nurse is not available. Document observation as specified
    • Ensure conditions of facility are safe and secured. Check security of the facility at the beginning of each shift, log condition and any omissions
    • Conduct drills on regular routine basis and ensure the safety of clients by following all appropriate procedures. Familiarize clients with emergency evacuation fire and tornado plans
    • Promote a safe environment by mediating conflict between clients and providing crisis intervention when necessary. Confront violating clients immediately and enforce consequences consistently
    • Identify client problems and determine appropriate actions according to program guidelines. Request assistance from on-call clinician or administrator as needed. Provide written feedback to clinicians and supervisor
    • Complete incident reports for unusual incidents/emergencies, including potential suicide, theft and other problematic situations as specified. Contact and request assistance from on-call clinician or administrator as necessary
    • Complete reports for clients leaving Against Medical Advice (A.M.A.’s)
    • Protect client confidentiality and the treatment program at all times. Allow only authorized or approved visitors and family members to enter the facility in accordance with policy
    • Provide continuity of care and support by acting as a role model. Validate client’s feelings, listening and providing guidance. Inform primary therapist of client’s status
    • Teach clients the basic living skills as well as providing educational information on chemical dependency and recovery
    • Dress appropriately according to treatment activities and program requirements
    • Handle telephone calls, direct them to appropriate staff or take messages
    • Participate in treatment case review as needed
    • May maintain inventory of program equipment and supplies
    • Comply with Agency, State, and accrediting body requirement by documenting and completing all required paperwork
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Degree or equivalent required.
    • Experience and/or training in substance abuse setting preferred
    • Prefer Associates degree in Human Services or related field
    • Knowledge about the disease of the Chemical Dependency and the Recovery Program helpful
    • Good driving record and insurable with agency insurance without increase in premium
    • Valid Ohio Driver’s License with proof of insurance (if using own vehicle for job-related tasks)
    • Computer literacy

    Post-offer of Hire Requirements:

    • Negative TB test, and urine drug screen
    • Acceptable criminal background check required.

    Post-hire Requirements:

    • Participates in Annual CPR and First Aid training
    • Comply with Infection Control standards
    • Acquire training/education for job and self-development as approved by supervisor
    • Obtains cultural competency training as required

    Unusual Working Conditions:

    • Exposure to clients with alcohol and other drug related problems.
    • Potential for exposure to Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, and other blood borne or airborne pathogen diseases.
