Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Position Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for coordinating and supervising the facility’s nursing staff. Position is responsible for ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The Director of Nursing provides direct client care, takes physician orders, prepares, and administers resident medications, and coordinates outside diagnostic or medical services as ordered by the physician. This position will serve as the Infection Control Designee.
Relationships and Contacts
Within the organization:
Maintains frequent and close working relationships with the facility Executive Director, National Director of Admissions, Nursing team, Milieu Supervisor, facility leadership, peers and vendors.
Outside the organization:
May initiate and maintain working relationships with clinical providers, referral partners, clients and vendors as needed and directed.
Position Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Provides leadership and supervision to the nursing team, to include hiring, training, coaching and performance management.
2. Oversees and performs daily vital signs/glucose monitoring of clients.
3. Oversees medical issues daily and report issues to Nurse Practitioner as needed.
4. Oversees and performs medication distribution and documentation.
5. Orders medication and ensures proper delivery from pharmacy.
6. Works with insurance companies on patient medications, completes insurance forms, and calls as needed.
7. Oversees and performs blood draws, following up on lab values as needed.
8. Takes medication orders from MD/NP conducts daily medication order follow up.
9. Maintains medical supply inventory, places supply orders as needed.
10. Coordinates external client medical appointments with team members.
11. Ensures all admission/discharge nursing duties are conducted and documented within required timeframes.
12. Ensures effective communication between medical/nursing staff, medical vendors, and C.N.A team.
13. Provides medication management and oversite ensuring accurate accounting of medication charting/procedures/training for all nursing staff.
14. Works closely with registered dietitians on client weight restoration needs/issues.
15. Monitors all labs/EKGs/other tests and communicating results with medical providers.
16. Oversees all pharmacy paperwork/forms-includes controlled substances.
17. Oversees infection control program and quarantine program for staff/clients.
18. Maintains biohazard accounts and procedures, ensuring team members are trained on and adhere to infection control procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Conducts occasional reviews with insurance companies.
2. Coordinates and oversees administration of annual vaccines.
3. Responsible for being on-call as scheduled.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing, active state Registered Nurse license, and 5 years of experience Nursing/Clinical Experience/Management. Previous eating disorder treatment experience strongly preferred. Must maintain current CPI/CPR/1st Aid/AED certification.
