Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Position: Part-time Medical Director

     

    Schedule: As needed - up to 5 hours per week 

     

    Pay Range: $24,000.00/year to $28,000.00/year

    Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Medical Director to join our team. The Medical Director will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and oversight to our organization's medical services, ensuring compliance with OASAS regulations, and promoting the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care. This position will support St. Joseph’s up to five (5) hours per week. This position reports to the VP/COO working in close coordination with the AVP of Operations.


    Education and Training:


    • Medical degree from an accredited medical school (psychiatry preferred).
    • Unrestricted, licensed physician and currently registered with the New York State Education Department.
    • At least one (1) year of education, training, and/or experience in substance use disorder services.
    • Board certification in addiction medicine from a certifying entity.
      • Certification may be received within four (4) years of hire date.
    • CPR certified
    • NARCAN certified
    • Experience prescribing MAT and psychotropic medications preferred.
    • Experience working in behavioral health treatment settings, with a strong understanding of addiction medicine principles and evidence-based practices.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

    Essential Duties:


    Medical Leadership:

    • The medical director is a physician who has overall responsibility for the:
      • Medical services provided by the program(s)
      • Oversight of the development and revision of policies, procedures and ongoing training.
    • Assist in the development of necessary referral and linkage relationships with other institutions and agencies.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws, regulations, and guidelines governing substance use treatment programs.
    • Respond to calls, inquiries, and appeals by payors and managed care organizations as needed.

    Clinical Supervision and Training:

    • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to medical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in the performance of medical services.
    • Engage in collaborative supervision with the respective program directors of non-medical staff in the provision of substance use disorder services.

    Quality Improvement:

    • Lead efforts to continuously evaluate and improve the quality of medical care provided by the organization, including being knowledgeable on emerging trends in addiction medicine.

    Research and Program Development:

    • Collaborate with senior leadership and clinical teams to develop innovative treatment programs, with a particular focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs).
