Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Digital and IT Senior Analyst defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related information technology requirements and systems. Collaborating with Group and Division subject matter experts and 3rd party IT vendors, they lead directly, or co-lead, technology operations and projects with accountability for completing on time, budget, and meeting expectations. The Analyst role is also a key influencer in the strategic vision and roadmap implementation for the technology area(s) they support. They leverage knowledge in several technical disciplines to collaborate with peers in deploying highly secure and resilient information technology solutions. This position reports to the Group Manager/Director and works with Division IT Managers and their teams to help set goals and technology targets for future state.

    Essential Functions:

    • Under the direction of IT Infrastructure and Security, this position serves a dual role as the Commvault Backup lead and as Disaster Recovery coordinator.
    • This position will design and maintain the Aerospace Group's Commvault enterprise backup and recovery platform.
    • Duties include deployment, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the architecture to ensure systems meet business continuity requirements.
    • The role will assist in establishing standards and policies.
    • Candidates must have strong knowledge of backup storage technologies, replication, de-duplication, encryption, and data migration techniques.
    • Serving as the escalation point for Commvault issues, this position is expected to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and develop solutions data movement challenges.
    • In the role of IT Disaster Recovery administrator, this position directs IT disaster response and crisis management activities to help provide and coordinate disaster preparedness training with respect to the organization's information technologies, helping to ensure business continuity.
    • This includes designing and implementing DR recovery process for re-establishing servers, databases, and operating systems in the event of a disruption, both minor and catastrophic.
    • This position will also perform and analyze disaster simulations for the prompt restoration of services and conduct security audits where required.
    • This individual will have a diversified background of technical infrastructure experience, demonstrated server systems administration acumen, plus a superior, service-oriented approach.
    • This role will participate in the delivery of 24x7 on-call support for business-critical systems.

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent).
    • 8 years of experience in IT operations implementing and supporting solutions in a datacenter environment.
    • 5 years of experience managing and supporting Commvault backup and recovery software in a large environment.
    • 3 years of experience dedicated to disaster recovery operations and management.
    • Strong understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures, and datacenter design.
    • Strong understanding of network protocols like IP, TCP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSL, HTTP.
    • Ability to work in a delivery support environment that involves structured process and timelines.
    • Familiarity with business continuity program life cycle plans and source deliverables (e.g., risk assessments, business impact assessments, continuity planning).
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to convey plans, exercises, and activities.
    • Able to interact with technical, non-technical and management staff.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize projects, determine, and meet deadlines, and proactively communicate with others in a clear and concise manner.
    • Knowledge of standard security practices and procedures for server and network configurations.
    • Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation that is clearly written, well organized, well structured, and accurate.

    Work Authorization:

    This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15 is required.

    Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $94,554.87 - $152,647.88.
