Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Summary

    The Assistant Director of Nursing assists in the execution of the nursing care services for patients of the facility, using resources effectively and efficiently to attain and maintain the highest level of care in accordance with regulatory standards. He/she monitors patients at all times, ensuring safety and compliance with program protocols. He/she also performs a vital function in aiding clients on their road to recovery as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    The Assistant Director of Nursing assists in the execution of the nursing care services for patients of the facility, using resources effectively and efficiently to attain and maintain the highest level of care in accordance with regulatory standards. He/she monitors patients at all times, ensuring safety and compliance with program protocols. He/she also performs a vital function in aiding clients on their road to recovery as needed.

    • Work the floor and cover shifts for nursing call outs
    • Place orders to toxicology laboratories, blood analysis laboratories, and pharmacy
    • Receive and analyze results from laboratories
    • Communicate laboratory results to physician or Nurse Practitioner
    • Receive and store all orders from pharmacy in accordance with facility policies
    • Take and record patient vital signs according to schedule and policy
    • Assess patient symptoms regularly, report condition changes to physician if change in care plan may be necessary
    • Dispense medications to patients as needed, according to schedule, and in line with facility policies
    • Respond to medical emergencies and call physician as needed for orders
    • Screen patients upon admission and work with physician to determine whether patient is appropriate for admission
    • Supervise patient monitoring station or delegate to other staff as necessary
    • Monitor on-site narcotics to prevent theft or abuse
    • Lead patient community meeting as necessary in absence of available Patient Engagement
    • Be on call at least 5 days a week for at least 12 hours per day
    • Complete managerial duties as assigned by the DON such as compliance, audits and staff training
    • Assist or lead patient Intake process as needed
    • Oversee all regular and PRN nursing staff including hiring, training, and termination in the absence of the Director of Nursing
    • Plan, assign, and direct work; coaching and motivating the nursing team in the absence of the Director of Nursing
    • Appraise performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in the absence of the Director of Nursing
    • Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications:

    • Assist with carrying out supervisory responsibilities as delegated by the DON in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
    • Must hold active Registered Nursing or Licensed Practical Nursing license in the state
    • Must hold at least an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in nursing in a mental health setting preferred
    • Prior experience in the chemical dependency field preferred
    • Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferred
    • Must be committed to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use
