The Digital Modernization Sector in Leidos is seeking an Sr. Disaster Recovery Specialist to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking an Analyst specializing in system contingency planning, continuity of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery to join our DISA DES program in Ft. Meade, MD.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must hold an active Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support customer's organizations in the development and evaluations of Information System Contingency Plans (ISCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).
•Assist in the development of COOP guidance and plans as required in accordance with established DoD policies, Federal Directives and NIST guidance.
•Develop standard operating procedures.
•Support customer's organizations in the development and evaluations of Information System Contingency Plans (ISCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).
•Contribute to the development and revision of customer's training program including recovery plans and training materials
•Support Client’s exercise development, execution, and after-actions documents; continuity team and site guidance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted for degree.
•Experience with COOP processes as well as backup and disaster recovery of information systems in support of COOP.
•Strong familiarity with RMF and Contingency Planning controls (NIST 800-34 and NIST 800-53).
•Knowledge of Linux, Windows, virtualized and cloud computing concepts.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills.
•8570 IAT II Certification(s)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience with DISA.
•Comprehension of cloud system migrations.
•Familiarity with firewall and load balancing concepts.
•Demonstrated success conducting training.
•Demonstrated success developing and maintaining multiple ISCPs
•Familiarity with Disaster Recovery processes and testing of DR plans and procedures.
•Knowledge of FISMA and DoDI 8500.01 system security guidelines.
