Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     RMG is seeking Disaster Case Management support for the West Virginia Emergency Management Division (EMD) to provide assistance to disaster impacted individuals with preparing and submitting Disaster Case Management documents and referrals to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other partners.

      

    The Disaster Caseworker will work under the supervision of the Disaster Case Supervisor. The Disaster Caseworker will coordinate directly with applicants to assist with preparing and submitting documentation to FEMA and other partner agencies to assist in recovery.

    Requirements

      

    · Conducting client outreach and completing intake processes for each applicant. 

    · Conducting home and community visits with the applicants to provide on-going support and assistance in applying for and obtaining community needed recovery resources. 

    · Developing Individual Recovery Plans that include applicant input and EMD feedback as needed. 

    · Conducting follow-up visits to monitor and assess the effectiveness of services provided. Documenting comprehensive client background information, case history, updates, and progress towards Individual Recovery Plan in case files. 

    · Preparing reports as requested by the Disaster Case Supervisor or EMD. 

    · Document and consolidate data from detailed sources such as but not limited to timesheets, equipment records, and invoices.

    · Assisting applicants in identifying and obtaining available benefits as well as social and community resources. 

    · Serving as a liaison in identifying and obtaining available benefits as well as social and community resources.

    · Effectively communicating both internally and with the recipient and applicants. 

    · Other duties as assigned.


    Required Qualifications


    · A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, social work, or related field or an Associate’s degree in a related field along with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. 

    · A minimum of one (1) year of experience in publicly facing case management. Specific knowledge of FEMA’s Disaster Case Management framework. 

    · Knowledge of 2 CFR 200, 44 CFR, and the Stafford Act. 

    · Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 

    · Must have technical skills in analysis, business accounting principles, and knowledge of construction methodologies. 

    · Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
