JOB SUMMARY:
The disaster recovery (DR) program leader is responsible for communicating, developing, implementing, maintaining and managing the governance of the enterprise disaster recovery management (DRM) program for Seacoast Bank. The objective of this program is to support IT systems' resilience and timely IT operations recovery, regardless of cause.
The primary goal of the DRM program is, first and foremost, to prevent impacts and to rapidly restore data center operations and the availability of mission-critical applications and production data. Secondly, this program is meant to support key recovery objectives, including IT infrastructure damage assessments, crisis communications, coordination with external government agencies and timely work area recovery. DRM staff may also support the operations and access recovery of business applications and data that are not sourced in the data center, including departmental IT services and services supplied by third-party providers.
The DR program leader role is primarily technical and operational; however, it also requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with senior business unit management in the definition, prioritization and support of key business recovery requirements and objectives. In addition, the DR program leader should understand Seacoast’s business and industry. The successful DR program leader should be able to translate business operations recovery requirements into action-oriented plans, programs, data center infrastructures and recovery testing strategies. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, and effectively link the enterprise's DRM activities with business operations recovery and continuity requirements on a proactive basis.
