Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Camp Recovery Center is licensed by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, and certified by the Commission of Rehab Facilities (CARF). The Center maintains a strong reputation as a premier provider of specialized addiction treatment services.  Since 1984, The Camp Recovery Center has aided in the rehabilitation of thousands of addicted men, women and adolescents at our residential, 25-acre facility located in Northern California. It is within this tranquil environment that is nestled in the Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains that we provide these individuals with the opportunity to participate in our highly structured and successful drug and alcohol rehab program.  

     

    We are currently seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to join our esteemed team at The Camp Recovery Center. 

    This full-time, salaried position is an integral part of our dynamic leadership team. The DON will be responsible for overseeing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising nursing services and the provision of behavioral health/nursing care.     Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Sets the vision for nursing practice in the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable and patient centered care.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.
    • Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of all nursing personnel.
    • Provide clinical leadership, strategic and long-term goals for the nursing staff.
    • Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocates nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed.
    • Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrated sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
    • Determine, assign, and assess performance objectives for nursing department.
    • Organize, coordinate, develop and review policies, procedures and nursing protocols within the facility to meet all regulatory, compliance and quality care standards.
    • Responsible for the quality of care, operational and financial efficiency of the nursing department.
    • Lead and develop the nursing staff within the facility, providing performance goals, feedback and development opportunities.
    • Set and carry out policies, goals and procedures for their function or department.Evaluate the quality of care, staff's work and the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the function or department.
    • Develop and oversee function or departmental budget and reporting.
    • Provide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
    • Provide direct care as needed.
    • Direct and conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required. Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing is preferred.
    • Five or more years’ nursing experience.
    • Three or more years progressive managerial experience required.
    • Three or more years behavioral health experience preferred.

    LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Current RN license.
    • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
    • First aid may be required based on state or facility.

     

     

     

    Compensation for roles at Camp Recovery varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Camp Recovery provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.

    Role Location: Scotts Valley, CA

     

    Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, within the range of $120,000-$140,000 per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
