Discharge Coordinator jobs in Johnstown, PA

UPMC Western MD is hiring a Professional Staff Nurse for the Weekend Program on our Admission/Discharge Unit!

The selected candidate will work 48 weekends per year, 24 hours per weekend between the hours of Friday at 3:00 p.m. and Monday at 7:00 a.m. Even though this role is only 24 hours per week, this is considered a full-time position, allowing you to work fewer hours with all the benefits of a full-time employee. Even better, unit-based nurses receive a 25% differential on top of their base rate to accommodate working fewer hours! 

The shifts for this position will be 7:00 am - 7:30 pm. Previous critical care experience is preferred.

The Professional Staff Nurse:

• is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team
• is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care
• has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care
• manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team member
• encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision
