Design Styles Architecture is looking to fill a Department Manager position for our Commercial Department. The Commercial department works on various project types including, large multifamily projects, retail, hospitality, higher education, and K-12 Education projects. Services on the team vary between developing programmatic details and conceptual design, and finished construction documents, and Construction Administration. The Department Manager should be highly organized, a self-starter and familiar with both Wood Frame and Block Construction.
Accountable for:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum of 10 yrs. experience with experience in various methods of construction and building systems
Professional Degree in Architecture desired
Must be proficient in AutoCAD or Revit, Microsoft suite and adobe
Experience in coordination with engineering disciplines
Experience as a Team Lead or Manager
Experience as an Architectural Account Manager with an ability to assist in efforts to help grow assigned department
Must be focused, organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize
Ability to manage design teams and work efficiently and effectively with other firm leaders
Must have a Positive & Professional Attitude
Ability to work under pressure and closely within a team
Ability to meet deadlines and provide excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and vendors
Ability to do Business development is a plus
