Design Styles Architecture is looking to fill a Department Manager position for our Commercial Department.  The Commercial department works on various project types including, large multifamily projects, retail, hospitality, higher education, and K-12 Education projects. Services on the team vary between developing programmatic details and conceptual design, and finished construction documents, and Construction Administration. The Department Manager should be highly organized, a self-starter and familiar with both Wood Frame and Block Construction.

Accountable for:

Required Skills/Abilities: ​

Minimum of 10 yrs. experience with experience in various methods of construction and building systems ​

Professional Degree in Architecture desired​

Must be proficient in AutoCAD or Revit, Microsoft suite and adobe​

Experience in coordination with engineering disciplines​

Experience as a Team Lead or Manager ​

Experience as an Architectural Account Manager with an ability to assist in efforts to help grow assigned department​

Must be focused, organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize​

Ability to manage design teams and work efficiently and effectively with other firm leaders​

Must have a Positive & Professional Attitude​

Ability to work under pressure and closely within a team​

Ability to meet deadlines and provide excellent communication and organizational skills​

Ability to effectively communicate with clients and vendors ​

Ability to do Business development is a plus
